For youth ages 12-17 who are involved in the youth justice system and are experiencing, or may be experiencing, mental health challenges that affect their well-being and court involvement.
The Youth Mental Health Court Program helps youth and their families access the mental health supports, services, and resources they need while navigating the youth justice system, with the goal of addressing underlying mental health concerns and promoting positive outcomes.
Through assessment, consultation, case management, support, and referrals, Youth Mental Health Court Workers work closely with youth and their families to identify mental health needs and connect them to appropriate services. Workers provide support within the court process, collaborate with community and justice partners, and help youth access mental health treatment and other resources that can contribute to their success. By addressing mental health concerns early and ensuring access to ongoing supports, the program helps youth build stability, strengthen well-being, and move forward with greater confidence and support.
