Day Program Education and Community Partnership

When home, school, or community challenges make it difficult to maintain stability, a supportive living environment can provide the structure and care needed to move forward. Lumenus’ Live-In Treatment Program offers children, youth, and adults ages 3.8-18 a safe, respectful, and therapeutic place to live, grow, and build independence.

The program helps residents develop the skills, confidence, and support networks they need to improve daily functioning, strengthen relationships, and work toward their personal goals.

Through a variety of licensed residential homes across Toronto, residents receive individualized support in a structured, home-like environment staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Each residence provides varying levels of support to meet unique needs, including social, emotional, behavioural, and developmental challenges. Residents are supported by dedicated child and youth workers, residential support workers, social workers, and consulting clinicians who help them develop life skills, build constructive relationships, and increase independence. For some residents, these homes provide a safe place to live during times of family breakdown, trauma, abuse, or mental health challenges. Family and caregiver involvement is encouraged whenever appropriate, and community engagement is supported to help residents build meaningful connections and work toward greater independence and well-being.
