Bequests
Make a gift in your will
A charitable bequest allows you to create a lasting impact for future generations. You can leave a specific gift or a percentage of your estate to Lumenus. Speak with your estate planner, or use our online partner Willfora, to create or update your will.

Lumenus has partnered with Willfora, one of Canada’s leading online will platforms, to provide a simple and accessible way for Canadians to create a legal will.
Securities
Give stocks or securities
A gift of stocks or securities is a tax-effective way to support Lumenus while maximizing your charitable impact.
Benefits
- No capital gains tax on eligible securities donated directly to Lumenus.
- A charitable tax receipt for the fair market value of the securities on the day they are sold.
Please note: Lumenus does not hold gifts of stocks and securities. All transferred securities are sold upon receipt.
Life insurance
Make a significant future gift through manageable payments today
Options include
- Gift a new policy. Name Lumenus as owner and beneficiary, and receive tax receipts for the policy’s cash value and eligible premium payments.
- Name Lumenus as beneficiary. Your estate may be eligible for tax benefits upon your passing.
- Donate an existing policy. Receive a tax receipt for the policy’s cash value, as well as eligible premium payments made after the transfer.
