Wraparound (child welfare)

Wraparound helps children, youth, and families with complex needs build a coordinated support network, develop personalized plans, and achieve goals that improve well-being.

When your child or family is facing complex challenges, it can be difficult to know how to bring together the people, services, and supports needed to move forward. Wraparound supports children, youth, and families by building a coordinated network of professional and natural supports focused on their unique strengths, needs, and goals.

The program helps children, youth, and families strengthen relationships, overcome barriers, and achieve goals that improve their quality of life.

Through the Wraparound High Fidelity process, a Wraparound Facilitator works alongside the child, youth, or family to identify goals and create a personalized plan. Guided by the participant’s voice and choice, a team of family members, community supports, and service providers comes together to develop strategies, leverage strengths, and coordinate support. By creating a strong circle of care, Wraparound helps families navigate challenges, build resilience, and make meaningful progress toward their goals.
