The STUDIO

A youth-led drop-in where 12-17 year olds can belong, be themselves, and build community. The Studio is a safe space that prioritizes 2SLGBTQ+ and BIPOC youth. Through games, art, and one-on-one support, people can find connection, strengthen their voice, and access the resources they need.

Service information

The Studio openly celebrates youth from 2SLGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. It’s a place for people ages 12-25 to drop in, connect, and take part in activities shaped by them. Youth can play video games and board games, watch movies, create art, join discussion groups, workshops, dance, drag and gender expression activities, sexual-health education, field trips, and more. All based on the experiences they want – they co-create the program every step of the way.

The Studio celebrates diverse identities and experiences and encourages everyone to be their authentic selves while respecting others. It’s a safe space with foundations in equity, anti-oppressive practice, and social justice. Here, youth build their community, find their voice, and make room for everyone to be seen, heard, and included.

One-on-one support

As well as recreation and connection, they can access referrals and one-on-one support. Services include:

We can also help them access all other services in the Central Toronto Youth Wellness Hub through the drop-in program.

Tweeny Stars (ages 10+)

Tweeny Stars is a program offered through The Studio for youth (10 yrs +) exploring their gender identity and their caregivers. It gives them support, information, and connection with others experiencing similar experiences, and can be accessed through our drop-in program.
