Service Solutions Integrated Response Committee (IRC)

The Service Solutions Integrated Response Committee supports adults with developmental disabilities and complex needs through coordinated planning, crisis prevention, and collaborative community-based support solutions.

When you are supporting an adult with a developmental disability whose needs have become increasingly complex, finding the right services and supports can be challenging. The Service Solutions Integrated Response Committee (IRC) supports adults aged 18 and older who are registered with Developmental Services Ontario Toronto Region (DSO TOR) and require coordinated planning to address significant support needs.

The program helps individuals, families, and service providers reduce the risk of crisis, strengthen supports, and promote long-term stability.

Through a collaborative planning process, IRC brings together families, service providers, clinical professionals, and community partners to identify needs, address service gaps, and develop coordinated support plans. The committee focuses on individuals whose needs cannot be met through standard service planning processes or who have been identified through provincial priority initiatives. By connecting expertise across the developmental services sector, IRC helps build caregiver and provider capacity, improve system coordination, and create sustainable supports that enhance quality of life.
