Community Counselling

Community Counselling supports children ages 0-11 and their families through counselling that helps address developmental, emotional, behavioural, and family-related concerns while building skills and resilience.

When you are concerned about your child’s development, behaviour, emotions, or overall well-being, it can be difficult to know where to turn. Community Counselling supports children ages 0-11 and their families by providing counselling that helps address challenges affecting a child’s development and the well-being of the family.

The program helps children and families strengthen relationships, build coping skills, reduce challenges, and improve overall well-being.

Through individual, parent, caregiver, and family counselling, children and families receive support from regulated professionals trained in psychotherapy and evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Counselling is tailored to each family’s unique circumstances and may focus on concerns related to emotional regulation, behaviour, development, family relationships, life transitions, and other challenges affecting day-to-day functioning. By working collaboratively with families, counsellors help build understanding, strengthen skills, and develop practical strategies that support positive outcomes at home, school, and in the community.
